Francine Rivers (1947-)
Francine Rivers is a current American author of historical romance novels. Wanting to be an author from an early age, she began her literary career launching from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Journalism. Only a few of her books published before her conversion are still in circulation; her recent works now reflect her Christian persuasion, such as her retelling of Hosea and her Roman trilogy. She has received quite a number of rewards for her books and her books have been translated into many foreign languages and are sold around the world. Still writing, the author lives with her husband Rick and their children and grandchildren in northern California.
